At Garden Island Dance Academy, every dancer is given the opportunity to shine. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum, choreography, and music ensure that each student learns in a way that’s both age-appropriate and creatively engaging. About Our Programs
We offer private lessons, group classes, and performance opportunities for all ages. Our comprehensive curriculum covers a variety of dance styles and techniques, allowing students to explore their interests, develop their skills, and grow as performers.
Featured Classes
Twinkle Ballet
Designed to nurture a love of movement, this playful class blends foundational dance skills with fun activities like scarf or flag dances, encouraging each child’s unique self-expression. Ages 3-4.
Sparkle Ballet
Encouraging creativity, freedom, and a love for dance, Sparkle Ballet builds on basic ballet concepts while inspiring confidence in young dancers. Ages 5-9.
Regal Ballet
For students in pre-pointe or beginning pointe, this class deepens understanding of barre work and teaches how to connect steps fluidly in the center. Ages 10+
Adult Classes
Whether you’re brand new to dance or returning after years away, our adult-friendly classes welcome you. We’ll recommend the best fit based on your experience and goals. Most classes (except Ballet 2 and below) are open to adults.

As a young kid growing up on Kauai who loved dance, and later moved to the mainland to pursue a collegiate dance education followed by a dance career, traveling and working in NYC, I am immensely grateful for the initial care and training that I received from working with Ms. Jennifer! Ms. Jenn was my first real dance teacher, and her classes were not only thoughtful enough to provide me with the foundations I needed as a young dancer but also incredibly enjoyable! To this day, some of my lifelong friends are young Kauai dancers that I met in Ms. Jenn's classes. Ms. Jenn's attention to detail and technique is highly developed, but she also understands that dance is social, emotional, and joyous! Whether you are seeking professional or recreational dance training on Kauai, I would unequivocally recommend Ms. Jenn – she is the real deal!
